Successful sale of Coexis to Australian GBST



Wollastons successfully completed the strategic sale of Coexis Limited to GBST Holdings Limited (GBST), an Australian company listed on the Australian Stock Exchange, on 9th December 2008. Both GBST and Coexis are providers of securities transaction and fund administration software for the financial services industry. GBST is ranked 42 in the 2008 Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Australia Program.

Trade Mission to China

UK Home Office Approval for Wollastons



Wollastons is one of only 36 professional service firms in the country approved by the UK Border Agency (UKBA) to act as a 'Support Organisation' to businesses on a brand new system of immigration control which is set to replace the old Work Permit scheme this autumn.

36 Mile Charity Cycle by Wollastons Solicitors



Corporate Associate Solicitor, Adam Kudryl, and Property Solicitor, Scott Simmons from leading Essex law firm, Wollastons, took part in the 12th annual Tour de Rodings cycle ride along with 630 cyclists to raise funds for Farleigh Hospice.

British 10K London Run 2008



On Sunday 6th July a team of 10 from Wollastons ran alongside 25,000 other participants in the 2008 Asics British 10K London Run to raise funds for the Multiple Sclerosis Trust. The event is now in its 8th year and raised a total of £2 million in 2007 for the charity.

House of Lords clarify the cost of cancelling a commercial agency agreement early



The question of how much compensation is due to an agent on early termination of their contract will now be based on the value of the agency business as at the date of termination by the principal. This is an important change and the upshot of this decision will affect companies who operate agency contracts now or who are planning to in the future.
