We operate on the basis of fixed fees, so our clients know in advance how much they will be charged. We also utilise the late payment legislation to maximise the recoveries made from our clients' debtors and to put the pressure on those debtors to pay by enabling our clients to recover high rates of interest as well as certain fixed costs on overdue debts. For example, a business owed £5,000 which is one year overdue, could be entitled to claim over £700 interest and costs from its customer.
Very often the outcome is that our fees work out to be less than the interest and costs we are able to recover from debtors.
